Re: [Question #280701]: root access regression with 2:4.1.6+dfsg-1ubuntu2.14.04.11
Question #280701 on samba in Ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+question/280701
Status: Needs information => Open
CvB gave more information on the question:
Well, this is the use case here, for various reasons. It surely wouldn't
be the best idea for a system on the internet, and it's surely possible
to work around this regression in multiple ways, starting by sharing all
top level directories individually, all the way until installing a
different OS without this regression (or not linux based).
I had just hoped that it is an unintended regression that might be fixed
- or that I can work around this by tweaking the config.
