Backporting Samba 4 to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise) would allow users to
benefit from the stable release while maintaining the stability of an
LTS environment. To achieve this, you can request the backport through
Ubuntu's official channels, or consider compiling Samba 4 from source on
your system. However, be mindful that backporting can sometimes
introduce compatibility issues, so testing in a controlled environment
before deploying to production is recommended.
