I tried the "opposite":
sudo update-rc.d -f epoptes remove
sudo update-rc.d epoptes default 22 7

and it works too. could I expect any trouble or I should move epoptes-
client too?

clearly your solution is better if there's some other service that uses
likewise.. but just for trying...
