Re: [Question #238272]: How to exclude some users from being monitored?

Question #238272 on Epoptes changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/epoptes/+question/238272

    Status: Open => Needs information

Alkis Georgopoulos requested more information:
There's a "system epoptes-client" running on boot for each computer,
and a " session epoptes-client" running on login for each user.

If you disable the second one, you'll still be able to see the
blue/green monitor icons in epoptes and will be able to control the
computers, but not e.g. see the thumbnails of their screens.

If that's what you're experiencing and you don't want it, then you need
to use e.g. RCFILE_01="rm -f /etc/network/if-up.d/epoptes-client" in
lts.conf to disable the system epoptes-client instance.

If not, i.e. if you are able to see the thumbnails of their screens,
then maybe your desktop environment isn't respecting the gnome session
properties. What are you using? Unity-3d?
