I love Git as well. I'm curious, though, what were the issues/ 
annoyances you ran into with bzr and this effort?

I tried running the tests. On my machine, the tests hang on  
TransactionMonitorLoadTest. The test case is being run, and eventually  
completes, but it looks like the junitperf library is waiting for some  
other condition to determine that the test is done. I'll see about  
taking a closer look later.
