[Question #79263]: "Input Not Supported" on Jaunty 64-bit

New question #79263 on Extreme Tux Racer:
https://answers.launchpad.net/etracer/+question/79263

Shortly after launching extreme tux racer (from a menu launcher),
the screen (a 17" ACER LCD flat panel monitor -- regular not widescreen) goes dark and the music starts. After a couple of seconds the monitor give the error message "Input Not Supported." By hitting ESC and clicking the mouse a few times I am able to exit.

The PC is a 2.4 Ghz AMD 64-bit dual core, 3 GBs of RAM. Video driver is Nvidia-180.44.
64-bit Ubuntu Jaunty, Kernel Linux-generic-2.6.28-14 X-64.

Same behavior on Tux down the mountain. It did not always do this and I don't know what has changed to cause this (could it have been an update that caused a regression?)

Tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver -- no help.

Should this be moved from a question to a bug.

Thanks.
