The make failed because of a set but not used variable. Interestingly,
compiling it here with the cmake.local script does not trigger an
compiler failure, despite the fact the -Wall -Werror is set, which
should activate the -Werror=unused-but-set-variable flag as well.
Any ideas what the compilers (default gcc 4.7 on Ubuntu 12.10)
prevents from failing despite these flags?
