I'd strongly recommend signing up for the freeipa-devel mailing list at
https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/freeipa-devel and posing your
questions there.

FreeIPA upstream just released beta 2 on Fedora, and now would be an
excellent time to try stabilizing on other operating systems.

The core dependencies of FreeIPA v2 are:

389 Directory Server
Dogtag Certificate System
MIT Kerberos
BIND (with the bind-dyndb-ldap plugin)
