Message #00388
[Bug 1643244] [NEW] --mkhomedir seems to not work (through oddjob) in 16.04
Public bug reported:
I have a FreeIPA server and was setting up a client. I did a standard
ipa-client-install --mkhomedir
But when I login through ssh, the home folder of the user is not
created.
I see that (in contrast to 14.04 FreeIPA package, so since FreeIPA 4.x
maybe?) oddjob-mkhomedir is used. It seems to be started and systemctl
status oddjobd returns
Started privileged operations for unprivileged applications.
Cannot find any useful log, I don't know where to start. If you know
where to find more information and logs, I will diagnose it further.
** Affects: freeipa (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Tags: mkhomedir
