Never mind that patch.  I just found out that a clean install of Jaunty doesn't include /etc/X11/rgb.txt at all!  This file is necessary for freenx's nxagent to function since it is an older X server than the one supplied with Jaunty.  Jaunty doesn't need it though.  We may have to include an rgb.txt file in /usr/lib/nx for now.
An rgb.txt file can be downloaded from:
http://cvsweb.xfree86.org/cvsweb/*checkout*/xc/programs/rgb/rgb.txt?rev=HEAD&content-type=text/plain
and put in /etc/X11 temporarily.

I have the exact same issue as described in those forums.  The application, amsn, works fine with logged in to the console (physically at keyboard), but when connected through NX ... amsn crashes as described in that thread.
