NXSERVER - Version 3.2.0-74-SVN OS (GPL, using backend: 3.3.0)

Using Gnome 2.28.1
Using 32 bit version
PPA repo: http://ppa.launchpad.net/freenx-team/ppa/ubuntu

Upon local login, machine works fine, all window borders and decorations are
present (Metacity). Tested with and without compiz on both server and
clients, with 3 different clients (2 running Karmic Gnome and 1 running
Jaunty Gnome) and nomachines's nxclient 3.4.0-5. Tried different
combinations of the configurations in nxclient connection dialog to no
avail.

If it's of any help, I removed-purged everything associated with freenx and
installed Nomachine's version of nxclient, nxnode and nxserver to compare
results, and get the same problem, so I can presume the fault is not
directly related to freenx. Maybe the problem resides in ssh's
x11Forwarding but I cant see anything wrong with that section of
/etc/ssh/sshd_config:

X11Forwarding yes
X11DisplayOffset 10
PrintMotd no
PrintLastLog yes
TCPKeepAlive yes

...VNC (vino+vinagre) works ok... but slow, as always. SSH console logins,
sftp and mounts with sshfs all are 100% operative. Local network is 10/100
Ethernet, wired.

Can upload screenshot upon request. I'll update the bug report in Launchpad
with this new info as soon as possible.

Thanks again... Nelson

Status in FreeNX open source NX Server: New

Bug description:
All clients connect fine to the server with very good speed and display quality, but all remote windows open on the upper left side of the screen or inside the local window without the window borders/decorations. This occurs at all resolutions and color depths, with or without compiz enabled.
