Ubuntu 16.04, Unity, and Unity Tweak 0.0.7.

In Unity Tweak, on the "Window Spread" tab with "Window spread" turned
on, the "Click to access desktop" option first appears greyed out.  If I
turn off "Window spread", and then turn it back on, "Click to access
desktop" is available to select.  Then, after turning "Click to access
desktop" on, and closing Unity Tweak, when I try to do a window spread,
it no longer works, and Compiz crashes.  Then I have to reset Unity
Tweak to get things working correctly again.

This problem only happens when I attempt to activate "Click to access
desktop".

Why is this behavior happening?  What am I doing wrong?
