Webcam -Feiya Technology Corp. 090c:37a2 - working
  installed cheese, and it picked up the webcam no problems

Audio - Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)
- solved
   /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
   options snd-hda-intel model=hp-m4 enable_msi=1

Internal Speakers - working
Headset Jack - working
USB Speakers - still need to test

Internal Microphone Internal - working
   sound preferences, connector = Microphone 2
Microphone Jack - working
   sound preferences, connector = Microphone 1 (was muted in Sound
Preferences, doh !)

I've found some posts about using alsamixer or gnome-volume-control, but I
do not see a "capture" tab ?

Can anyone think of other tests i.t.o. audio/video/webcam etc ?
