Nicolas I've tried your mplayer-vaapi package uploaded yesterday in emgd ppa and it
works like a charm... impressive.

Tried some 720p movies and no frames dropped, no glitches.. WOW! :)

Bug description:
  We need mplayer-vaapi for EMGD
  I think MFonvile and/or Nicolas Derive could help packaging it.

  Also gnome-mplayer with vaapi as default backend and vlc  would be
  nice!
