Thanks for getting back. Yes and no. I tried importing both the unmerged
and merged files but in vain. I used Generic split algorithm.

  Split chunks not valid after spliting

Status in GNOME Split - File splitter for GNOME desktop:
  New

Bug description:
  I jsut split a PST file from my Outlook the size of 1.6GB, but after
  spliting it and trying to import the split files in my Evolution mail
  client, the file format is not supported.  Please advise. Thanks.
