[Bug 1585672] [NEW] will not lauch on T430 laptop

Public bug reported:

gnome spliot will not launch on my T430 laptop. It does not appear to
run at all. I got the below posted warning box that popped up:

if i type sudo gnome-split in a terminal i get this on the screen as it
launches:

john@john-ThinkPad-T430:~$ sudo gnome-split
[sudo] password for john:
DANGER: Gtk-WARNING, Theme parsing error: gtk-main.css:69:33: Failed to
import: Error opening file: No such file or directory
DANGER: Gtk-CRITICAL, gtk_main_quit: assertion 'main_loops != NULL' failed
DANGER: Gtk-CRITICAL, gtk_main_quit: assertion 'main_loops != NULL' failed
DANGER: Gtk-CRITICAL, gtk_main_quit: assertion 'main_loops != NULL' failed
DANGER: Gtk-CRITICAL, gtk_main_quit: assertion 'main_loops != NULL' failed

Itook notice of it and then later on (after other attempts to repair the problem dd nto work) i decided to try to change the theme just for the hell of it.
 It worked . Inw have a working gnome-split on my desktop.

It seemed that the default theme in Ubuntu Mate 16.04 64bit or possibly
the Nvidia video card in my system may have lead to the problem. In any
case just wanted to post this bug
