DistUtils extras is available but there are some problems with the
schemas install specially with RPMs. I suggest to change to autotools
since it's the most build system used and it's very often to see on
GNOME applications, see GNOME 3.0.

Hi

We all know that autotools sucks but still is the most used build system. It would be nice if g-a-j could be build/installed using autotools. It will make packagers life easier.
