[Bug 518539] Re: Support for websites

 

 I wrote a script to automate the creation of thumbnails for urls using
webkit but it is way too slow to be reasonable. The only way to solve
this efficiently would for browser plugins to generate the thumb as they
visited pages for hostnames.

We need to have a generic content wrapper in place before we start
displaying websites. Something similar to GioFile. That instance should
be stored in place of the uri in the thumb/timeline/daywidgets so that
the context menu can decide what entries to display and actions to take.
