Re: [Bug 637309] [NEW] GAJ largely ignores most files

Applications have to tell Zeitgeist what they are doing. If you launch a
document with GNOME Do it wont be logged in Zeitgeist unless Do tells
Zeitgeist what it is doing. Also depending on the file you open which app is
used to perform your usual actions with it get logged. Example:
If you open a text document with GNOME Do and it launches gedit to view the
text document it will be logged by ZG, since gedit already sends its info to
Zeitgeist. Please list down the common apps you use so I can help you make
more use of GAJ.

GAJ largely ignores most files

You received this bug notification because you are a member of GNOME
Zeitgeist Team, which is the registrant for GNOME Activity Journal.

Status in GNOME Activity Journal: New

Bug description:
Only a small percentage of the total files I open actually show up in the Activity Journal. Those forgotten include anything launched via Gnome Do or Transmission, which is nearly every file I use. For this reason, GAJ is more or less completely useless for me.
