It doesn't lack the feature to view memory. There is a spinner on left bottom of the application using which you can see memory contains.
The patch you refer to offers better memory viewing. It has been committed to git. You can try taking latest code from git and compile it on your own. Or you can wait for a few days when I will release new version.
