Harald Franzen proposed the following answer:
In Ubuntu 18.04 - since it reverted back to Gnome in stead of Unity -
due to an upstream depreciation of some python functionality, printing
in Gourmet no longer works :-(

For it to work again, you need to go back to Ubuntu 16.04LTS
