[Question #688420]: Changing recipe database in windows

New question #688420 on Gourmet:
https://answers.launchpad.net/gourmet/+question/688420

First let me say I have no programing experience other than opening Db files in notepad and looking at all the strange characters.
Two questions for everyone that hopefully can be answered in a way that a novice like me can implement. my wife wants to use this on multiple computers, after weeks of searching for a solution I landed here, the best option I found was what Alan Jackson (alan-ajackson) said on 2017-09-27 that he uses a Dropbox account to store and retrieve the Db for multiple installations, I would like to use a google drive account if possible to store the Db, or another option is to store the Db on a flash drive and move it between computers since only one computer needs access to the file at a time for her, I know where the Db file is in windows but don't know how to change its location in the program, the instructions in the help file to change location seem to pertain to a Linux install and I am not good with Linux at all yet, and my wife does not possess the ability to understand the intricacies of it.
I know I am starting at a disadvantage but there must be an relatively easy step by step solution for this in a windows environment such as downloading the source code and adding a few lines of code and recompiling I loosely understand the basic concept but have no clue on coding, even tried to learn Python 3.8 for this and failed miserably.
Second question which may be easier, is in learning how to use GRM Wife has added a bunch of categories that she dose not need now and hates scrolling through them every time, Is there a way to delete unneeded categories without corrupting the Db with notepad (which I can see them in the Db via notepad) or by using another program that someone with limited knowledge may understand, Thank you in advance to everyone that takes the time to help me with this as I have been through almost every Recipe manager program out there for her to find what she wants, and this is the one she likes the most with the exception of the issues mentioned here, it is a great program and by far the most stable of many I have tried.
