You should still be able to install into /usr/local/graphite if you
want, the way to do that would be by modifying the prefix setting in
setup.cfg, then run setup.py.
Since Graphite has moved to using distutils you should be able to
generate an RPM by simply running:
python setup.py bdist_rpm
If you have a clean install then the location where it is installed
shouldn't matter. Are you using the development server or mod_python?
