Cody Stevens is still having a problem:
If I stop carbon-cache util drops to nothing.

 iostat -d /dev/sdb1 -x 60 2
Linux 2.6.18-238.19.1.el5.centos.plus (graphch02.int.com) 09/15/2011 _x86_64_

Device: rrqm/s wrqm/s r/s w/s rsec/s wsec/s avgrq-sz avgqu-sz await svctm %util

The box has 24 G of memory. Troubleshooting this I have seen carbon-
cache.py using 17G or more depending on what I had my settings at.
