Sorry for the late response here..

Hmm..I just tried the syntax with the braces in the URL and was able to
get a graph that matched the metrics correctly back successfully using
both the latest code and 0.9.9.

Do you have a stacktrace you can paste from when you view the image
directly (e.g. copy the image url, paste it in the browser)?
