Re: [Question #216750]: Trouble getting carbon-aggregator.py to generate aggregated metrics
Question #216750 on Graphite changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/graphite/+question/216750
Description changed to:
I am having trouble getting my aggregation-rules to trigger. This is
what it looks like:
bigip.ca1-cluster1.pool.<partition>.<poolname>.server_side_current_connections
(300) = sum
bigip.ca1-c-lb[1|2].pool.<partition>.<poolname>.server_side_current_connections
Examples in the docs use "*" only as the wildcard. As you can see I am
attempting to use "ca1-c-lb[1|2]" as my regex. Could this be introducing
a problem?
I don't really know where to begin troubleshooting. I know the metrics
are arriving fine and getting sent over to my carbon-cache on 2004. But
the roll-up aggregations never get created, which leads me to believe
that the regex doesn't match. Is there a way to turn on some debug
logging to get a better idea on match evaluation?
Thanks for any ideas or help.
