---Problem Description---
In the cxl driver, the psl_fir_cntl register is set to the recommended value for a lab environment. This should be converted to use the recommended setting for a production environment.
Contact Information = frederic.barrat@xxxxxxxxxx
---uname output---
Linux freak 4.4.0-34-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 27 16:04:07 UTC 2016 ppc64le ppc64le ppc64le GNU/Linux
---Additional Hardware Info---
CAPI fpga card
Machine Type = any
---Steps to Reproduce---
setting of the psl_fir_cntl can be accessed through
# cat /sys/kernel/debug/cxl/card0/fir_cntl

Fix is in powerpc maintainer's tree and will find its way in 4.8-rc2;
cxl: Set psl_fir_cntl to production environment value
https://git.kernel.org/powerpc/c/c6d2ee09c2fffd3efdd31be2b2
However, though simple, the upstream patch won't apply cleanly to the
Xenial tree due to other patches merged in 4.8. So I'm attaching a
version of the patch which applies on Xenial
