[Bug 1683829] Re: thermald: Add support for Kabylake and Broadwell-GT processor models

This bug was fixed in the package thermald - 1.5.4-4ubuntu1

---------------
thermald (1.5.4-4ubuntu1) zesty; urgency=medium

   * Add missing support for Kabylake and Broadwell-GT (LP: #1683829)
    - upstream commit 405dcc0a6464d92, add some more CPU IDs
   * Fix energy preference default (LP: #1683825)
    - 37a25879239466f ("set default preference"); set the default
energy preference to ENERGY_CONSERVE rather than a garbage value

Bug description:
  [SRU][XENIAL][YAKKETY][ZESTY]

Newer x86 processor families are supported with thermald upstream
  commit 405dcc0a6464d92e656789a5a76bb23f479975ea ("Add Kabylake and
Broadwell-GT processor models"). It makes sense to add these CPU IDs
  to supported versions of thermald.

  [REGRESSION POTENTIAL]
This fix adds new CPU IDs to the table of supported processors. This fix has the potential of only changing behaviour of CPUs that have been added to the list. The regression potential for existing CPUs is close to zero as this is a table driven check.

  [TESTCASE]
Modern CPUs with IDs will be supported with this fix:
       6, 0x47 (Broadwell-GT3E)
       6, 0x8e (Kabylake)
       6, 0x9e (Kabylake)

..so thermald should be able to now detect this with the fix. Without
the rix, the thermald log will report "Need Linux PowerCap sysfs",
with the fix, this message will not be shown.
