[Bug 1652392] Re: sync newer packages from debian or newer releases
I suggest following
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#New_upstream_microreleases,
assuming the changes to 4.0.4 all qualify, to bring Xenial and Zesty
both up to 4.0.4.
** Also affects: pdns (Ubuntu Xenial)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Changed in: pdns (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed => Fix Released

Bug description:
Hello; PowerDNS's 4.0.0 release wasn't quite ready in time for 16.04
LTS so an alpha version was shipped instead, with the understanding
that newer releases could be SRU'd back to Xenial at a later date.
It's been several months now, and upstream has released 4.0.1. This is
packaged as 4.0.1-1build1 in 16.10, 4.0.1-5 in devel, and 4.0.1-6 in
sid. The Debian maintainer is quite active and disciplined.
What's the best way forward to getting a newer PowerDNS in 16.04 LTS?
A yakkety backport? zesty backport? Or merge from Debian?
Thanks
