It is a quite long time since you reported the bug. I am not sure, if
the bug is  still there in the latest development of GTG. Can you try to
reproduce it?

  Binary package hint: gtg

  When trying to quit gtg - either via the main menu "tasks -> quit" or
  via the applet - it crashes without any message (silent terminal). The
  gui is completely stuck; see screenshot.
