Just wanted to chip in my +1, this would be a very interesting feature.
Alex, if you need advice or encouragement, pop over to the IRC channel
or mailing list with your questions.

I think Bertrand's advice to start simple is very wise, especially when
you're new to the codebase.  Don't worry about getting it perfect the
first time out, get it basically working, and then massage it into
better shape later.

Bug description:
There are times when a task needs to be started at an specific time. Things like 'cook the dinner' are usually started one hour before dinner time, therefore I think it makes sense to have an option to notify that it is time to start a given task.
