[Bug 868316] Re: Advanced Rule IP Range doesn't work or not enough info to use

Hi! The 10.04.5 is a deprecated version.
Maybe are you specify the IP From in the Port From field?
If you put the cursor in the field, a tooltip will appears and it'll explain the format for a range :)
Best regards and thanks!

Title:
Advanced Rule IP Range doesn't work or not enough info to use

Status in Gufw:
  Invalid

Bug description:
On Gufw 10.04.5, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx April 2010 (the
current (October 2011) stable LTS on the Ubuntu Server)

When you add an advanced rule and try to specify the IP range (from
IP1 to IP2) it actually only allows connections from the IP address in
the "To" field to be received by the IP address in the "From" field.

Maybe I am using it wrong and there is a way to specify the IP range
in the field, but I couldn't find it.

From reading the online tutorials available about other versions I thought that the idea would be to allow a range of IP Addresses through and not just a single IP Address.

Thanks for writting the free software for us to use!
