Well ;) Could you enable the Gufw Log (from preferences menu) and repeat
the add action. Then try those commands in the terminal and paste here

  Error Performing Operation With Ubuntu 12.10

Bug description:
  Hi,

  I just upgraded from Ubuntu 12.04 to Ubuntu 12.10.

  Now Gufw seems to be broken.

  I can not add any rules, even the pre configed ones.

  I get "Error Performing Operation" every time.

  Any ideas?
