The "bug" report about LinkedIn not being supported in Gwibber has been
marked as a duplicate of this one:  without LinkedIn support as well as
Twitter and Facebook support, Gwibber is essentially unusable.  The
Gwibber way of presenting is however way better than using
http://seesmic.com which just seems to take acres of screen space.

Bug description:
  The VZ-networks (MeinVZ, StudiVZ, SchülerVZ) are very popular in
  Germany with millions of users. The VZs are using the OpenSocial API:
  http://www.opensocial.org/ . An implementation of OpenSocial would
  allow to send status updates to all the other networks (Xing,
  LinkedIn, MySpace, ....) as well:
