  Option to change number of messages displayed

Bug description:
  Can there please be added an option in the preferences which changes
  the number of messages displayed. Another add which would be useful
  would be a button at the bottom of the messages displayed which says
  "More," like on Twitter. This would show older messages. Currently
  there is no way to see older messages and it would be useful for one
  to exist.
