I played with version 3.1.2 for a while and scrolling still behaves as I
described. I couldn't find any particularly long messages to experiment
on (I assume the necessary stuff hasn't been implemented yet), but I was
able to resize the main window to be shorter than a single message. With
that done, scrolling continued to skip messages that didn't fit in the
window.

Bug description:
  Gwibber's Facebook sutff shows detailed entries with comments, now. A
  lot of the time, these exceed the height of the Gwibber window.
  Because Gwibber has changed the scrolling behaviour to always skip to
  the next message when I scroll down, it becomes _impossible_ to read
  the rest of a message. (And disorienting, because I have no way of
  knowing whether I have skipped one message or six messages).
