Title:
Can Gwibber manage Identica replies like StatusNet : without @pseudo
in message ?
Status in Gwibber:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Hello,
StatusNet introduced a new characteristic since version 1 (also used
by Identica) for the replies :
now when you reply to someone (XXXX), the word @XXXX is no more
written inside the message / dent, leaving all the 140 signs available
to write it. But it still keeps the context (reply, conversation
thread).
Please see the screenshot to be more clear, with 2 examples :
- first message (in bottom of Gwibber window) from valeryan24 : I
confirm. 11 mails / notification...
It has been sent as a reply to @evan and posted from Identica web
site.
In Gwibber, the information is full right : "In answer to evan"
appears well below the message, the dent is complete, if I click on
the poster icon, I go to Identica web site where I can view the whole
thread.
But inside the message there is not "@evan".
- The second message (in top of Gwibber window) from valeryan24 : "@evan This time I got only 1 mail..."
This has been sent from Gwibber, again as an answer to evan.
Exactly the same, except that "@evan" is written on the compose window
and on the message, so it reduces the total number of characters
remaining.
I don't know if it would be possible to manage such reply function by
Gwibber ?
Thanks in advance.
