[Bug 812202] Re: False positives appearing in twitter @ mentions

"Thanks for your patch, unfortunately our busy developers haven't been
able to review your patch in a timely manor. The gwibber codebase has
seen significant change and it is likely this patch no longer applies.
Please review it again and if it is still applicable, update it to work
with the latest gwibber trunk. We will be doing a patch review day in
the next few weeks and would like to review your patch. Thanks again for

Title:
False positives appearing in twitter @ mentions

Status in Gwibber:
  Invalid
Status in “gwibber” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I am occasionally seeing notifications of @ mentions from Twitter
which are not directed at me.

This happens when a tweet from someone I follow includes a mention of
someone whose username is a superset of mine.

E.g. if my username was @foo, I would also be notified of tweets (from
  people I follow) mentioning @foobar.

  gwibber-service-twitter version 3.0.0.1-0ubuntu3
