You mean like this? char *p; ... /* terminate at comment sign or strip newline */ for (p = line; *p; ++p) { if(*p == '#' || *p == '\n') { *p = '\0'; break; } }The "for (...) {...}" is shorter but some prefer "while (*p) { ...; ++p; }". Is there a policy on this?
