Re: What ever happened to our plan to move back to GitHub?

 

I guess I never replied to that thread.  Oops. :)

I am ambivalent about moving bugs back to github - the issue tracker
is fine now.  I don't especially enjoy working with launchpad's bug
system since it's slow (like molasses) and more complex than we need.
 The mailing list is more of a sticking point I guess - I'm personally
fine with googlegroups but I know it annoyed others.  I like that
googlegroups reply-to goes back to the group (IIRC) - that's always
annoyed me about launchpad's lists.

I am a bit concerned about causing any confusion from moving back and
forth. There is also the point raised by other projects that github is
definitely more developer oriented and perhaps not so comfortable for
an end-user as launchpad may be?
