A workaround may be to download exiftool-13.27_64.zip from
https://oliverbetz.de/pages/Artikel/ExifTool-for-Windows and manually
copy ExifTool.exe from the zip archive to the Hugin\bin directory.
Hopefully this will not mix different exiftool versions.

  Windows version complains about missing exiftool

Status in Hugin:

Bug description:
  Program version is "2024.0.1.ead3af10a01a" for Windows. I updated from
  a previous version. When trying to create the panorama, the program
  complains:

  
  Execution of command "C:\Program Files\Hugin\bin\exiftool" -ver failed (error 2: blabla).

  
  And, indeed there is no "C:\Program Files\Hugin\bin\exiftool" or "exiftool.exe". There is only a folder "C:\Program Files\Hugin\bin\exiftool_files. And also in this folder there is no exiftool.exe.
