[Bug 692404] Re: Architectural proj goes haywire
Just tested with RC1.
Can't get it to crash, but I can reproduce the buggy behavior.
Indeed going from Equirect 175x124 to Architectural, PFW goes white and
FOV goes to an unlikely 175x495. The moment I start playing with the
vertical slider, the VFOV gets a reasonable number and the preview
reappears.
If instead of playing with the vertical slider I change projection, more
wrong VFOV values affect the preview and it stays white. Sometimes it
shows just a thin line as the panorama.
But I did not get it to crash.

Title:
Architectural proj goes haywire
Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Running current default branch (hgd042bd4094ee).
After alignment, view in FPW is in equirectangular proj. with FOV 175x124. Switching proj to Architectural, FPW goes white, choosing another proj. and hugin disappears in a puff of smoke!
Run project again, this time when switching proj. to Architectural, FPW goes white, see that FOV is 175x495. A click on vertical slider and FOV snaps to 175x178.5 and image reappears.
I have had some trouble reproducing the crash.
It does seem that there is some instability here.
Yet to test if 2004.4.0 beta-2 behaves the same way, but am guessing that it probably does.
Project .pto file attached, it may help.
