OK. I tried it with the original images, and the  "tip" version of
hugin. Seems fixed. -> Fix released.

(I tried it with the .pto I found in the directory with my images, as
well as the one I saved here with this bug, and both will fire up the
fast preview window just fine. Lots has changed since I last saw the
fast preview, so it's evident changes have been made).

  Clicking "layout" in the fast-preview causes hang.

Bug description:
  Trying to reproduce another bug, I seem to be able to cause a (100%
  CPU) hang in Hugin when I click "layout" in the fast-layout window.

  The project consists of 45 images of an 3-stack HDR blend. The Fast
  preview window looks useable. Hugin generates a nice HDR image, but
  clicking "layout" causes hugin to start processing something, and
  stops refreshing the screen. Whatever it is doing, it should not stop
  refreshing the screen. Maybe it is doing something that will end, but
  I didn't have the patience to wait.
