Message #01873
[Bug 780733] Re: Hugin is unable to complete a multirow stitching
Well, I went to bed before I actually made this test, last night. But I can report now that the changing of the canvas size did not help in achieving a successful stitching, there is still the message of the inability of the swap file creation.
Is there any thing to be observed when you manually set the temp directory location? The default seems to be on the system HDD with a path like "C:\Documents and settings\*User*" where the folder names are in a kind of old MS DOS standard with only eight characters and capital letters. As my system HDD is quite cramped and has not much free space, I wanted to use another location and set a path "M:\Hgn_temp" for use as repository of temporary files.

Title:
Hugin is unable to complete a multirow stitching
Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI:
New
Bug description:
I am operating Hugin in the version 2010.4.0.854952d82c8f built by
Matthew Petroff on my computer with Windows XP SP3 with several
internal hard disks, Hugin sitting along with the OS on C:, the input
images (TIFF, 15,1 megapixel apiece) on M: and the manually chosen
temp folder under M:\Hgn_tmp.
The stitching of a panorama with the input images taken in several
rows fails. As I am German, I'm using umlauts in my filenames, here,
it is a numbered sequence of "Stadthafen zwei Hafenkräne Pano_**.tif".
I'll append the error log file and my project files.
