This problem is not specific to cpfind. All cp detector are affected.
Fixed the bug in hugin GUI itself in changeset 5ae90ab6bbbd.

  To reproduce:

  1. Start a new Hugin project with two photos.
  2. Add a single control point that links the two photos.
  3. Select both photos in the Images tab and run 'create control points'

  Some control points will be added, but the previous control point 
  will now be duplicated.  Repeat the process and there will be three 
  identical control points etc...
