[Bug 679918] Re: Aborting optimization.
Still the case in 2011.2 .
It's been optimizing (temporary "quick look") for an hour now.
(actually, I remember doing this on my laptop on this pano a few days
ago, and it finished MUCH faster than this).
This is with less than 200 images and less than 6000 control points.

Title:
Aborting optimization.
Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Sometimes while working on a big pano, it is useful to optimize a bit,
so that you can see where everything goes. It doesn't pay to wait for
the optimization process to have found the optimum. I'll go for 50
average distance while 6 is achievable. (I know that 0.6 is
achievable... I had that half an hour ago.) I just want the new
control points to pull the recently connected images in the right
direction so that I can see what images they overlap with. So when I
cancel the optimization, I should be able to do so with a "and I want
to keep the currently-best-results".
