A similar crash occurs if the anchor picture is changed after optimization. It seems that nearly every change in settings - after optimization - causes crash.

  Hugin crashes when lens parameters are changed

Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI:
  New

Bug description:
  Example: Load 1 image, set 1 horizintal line and optimize. Then change
  a lens parameter (I changed the horizontal share g) and optimize
  again. Hugin crashes!

  Same occurs with some other parameter changes.

  Workaround: Save the project instantly after change of settings, close
  hugin, and restart with the saved project. You must close Hugin, it is
  not sufficient to close only the project and relaod ist.

  This was found in Hugin 2011.4.0.cf9be9344356 built by Matthew Petroff
  in Windows 7 64 bit.
