[Bug 1016472] Re: Hugin segfaults without error message when doing 'photometric optimisation'.
I'd also like to add that as this happens on all attempts to stitch, but it seems that most others are able to use the software normally, it probably is a local configuration problem.
However, a segfault is an ungraceful and very unhelpful (both for the user and the person trying to fix it) way to crash. As it's most likely caused by an unchecked pointer, and probably shouldn't happen under any circumstances (should probably display error instead of just segfaulting), I still believe it's a bug.
If it turns out to be non-reproducable and there is a local hugin .conf
or .ini file somewhere, I would be glad to attatch that.

Hugin segfaults without error message when doing 'photometric
optimisation'.
I am using the latest hugin package from the ubuntu repository: 2011.4.0
This is reproducable every time.
This makes the program as a whole significantly less useful if not useless.
Creating control points and quick optimisation complete successfully.
Photometric optimisation segfaults.

Panorama stitching also fails if trying to use hugin via the digikam plugin, presumably for the same reason.

I regret it's in german, but could perhaps be translated by google...
I've searched for duplicate bug reports but found none.
