This bug affecting me.
My computer work for 11hours before having this message.
My picture is an coconut overdose with 24 files at 6000 x 4000px.
Maybe just check the maximum dimension of the picture before running the stitch algo.

Now i will try with PNG.
But i do not know that jpeg have a maximum of 65500px.
