Yes, I ended up fixing the exif data, and it's an ok solution for now.

Others may still have the same problem, and fixing exif is only a work
around in my opinion...

What I used was: 
exiftool -AllDates="2010:08:08 15:35:33" -overwrite_original *

Bug description:
  I get hundreds of Warniing popups, when stitching together TIF files:

  Had to cancel stitching, the popups were just too much.
